Dan Outlaw

Superintendent

With a passion for teaching, mentoring and serving, Dan’s proven leadership makes him a great asset to Rupe Helmer Group’s field team. Dan’s construction experience encompasses projects in the following sectors: commercial, industrial, energy, highway, bridge, municipal and residential.

Not only has Dan had the opportunity to lead complex construction and engineering projects, he has led soldiers on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1990 and served eight years on active duty before returning to civilian life. However after September 11, 2001 he reenlisted, but this time in the Oklahoma Army National Guard. Dan had two combat deployments, one to Iraq and one to Afghanistan, where he served as an infantry Platoon Sergeant.

After returning from Afghanistan, Dan began his construction management career again but wanted to do things differently the second time around. He mentored and trained men he served with on the battlefield to be leaders in the construction field and they flourished. His focus had turned to building his team rather than building his career. Dan has a proven track record of developing highly effective teams and takes pride in transforming a project from design to a completed, tangible structure.

Dan and his wife Melissa have been married for 25 years and have six children, three of whom are currently serving in the military.
